What to include

- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot or a short screen recording helps a lot.
- Your Chrome version, from
chrome://version, and the Tidyfold version, fromchrome://extensions. - For license problems, the email address you used at checkout. Please don't send the license key itself; we can look it up.
- Whether you use ChatGPT in light or dark mode, and in which language. Layout bugs often depend on it.
Common questions
Tidyfold doesn't show up in the ChatGPT sidebar
Open the sidebar first; Tidyfold sits above your recent chats and is hidden when the sidebar is collapsed. Then check that the extension is enabled at chrome://extensions and reload the chatgpt.com tab. If it still doesn't appear, ChatGPT has probably changed its layout. Chrome installs our fix automatically within a few hours; to get it sooner, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode and click Update, or reinstall from the Chrome Web Store. Email us if the problem persists.
I can't drag a chat into a folder
Drag the chat by its title and drop it anywhere on the folder block, not only on the folder name. If dragging isn't working, hover a chat and click the small folder icon that appears next to it, or right-click the chat and pick a folder from the menu. Shift+right-click still opens the normal browser menu.
Why can't I create more than three folders?
The free plan includes three folders. Tidyfold Pro removes the limit and unlocks backup export and import. Any folders you already have keep working.
My key says it's already active on the maximum number of browsers
A key works on up to three browsers at once. Open the Tidyfold popup on a browser you no longer use and click Remove license to free a slot. If you no longer have access to that browser, email us with the address you used at checkout and we'll reset the activations.
Where is my license key?
It was shown right after checkout and emailed to you by Dodo Payments, our payment provider. Search your inbox and spam folder for Dodo Payments. If it's not there, email us with the address you used at checkout.
How do I get a refund?
Email us within 14 days of purchase with the address you used at checkout. Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, and the refund is issued through them, back to the original payment method.
How do I move my folders to a new computer?
Folders live only in your browser, so Chrome Sync doesn't carry them over. With Tidyfold Pro, click Export backup in the popup, copy the file to the new machine, and click Import backup there. Uninstalling the extension also deletes its data, so export first.
Does Tidyfold collect my chats?
No. Tidyfold stores folder names and the titles and links of chats you file, on your own device. It has no analytics and no account. The only network request it ever makes is a license key check with Dodo Payments when you activate Pro. See the privacy policy.
Does it work with Claude or Gemini?
Not yet. Tidyfold currently supports chatgpt.com. Other AI chat sites are planned; email us if you'd like to be told when they land.
